Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley have won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. They defeated Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) on the Oct. 9 episode of SmackDown. This ends Fatal Influence’s reign at 83 days with only one successful defense.
Paxley won the titles for the team with Cemetery Drive and a pin on Henley. It was originally supposed to be Charlotte Flair and Paxley in this match, but Flair was taken out by Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab. This is Paxley’s first title win on the main roster. As for Bliss, she is now a five-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She held the gold in the last twice with Nikki Cross and once each with Flair and Asuka.
