Next week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown (October 16, 2026) takes place at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
During this week’s episode, three matches and segments were announced for next Friday’s show, including the next chapter in the ongoing rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.
Nick Aldis attempted to keep the two separated this week, with Orton agreeing to leave the arena rather than confront Rhodes. However, Rhodes later demanded another face-to-face encounter, expressing his anger over Orton’s previous attack and how his daughter reacted to seeing him bloodied and injured. The two are now scheduled to meet next week under a no-contact order to prevent another physical altercation.
Nikki Bella and Paige will square off again after their ongoing issues in recent weeks, with Bella still gunning for Chelsea Green’s WWE Women’s Championship, calling her a cheap imitation of herself.
Lastly, Damian Priest and R-Truth will settle their differences in a singles match following another backstage confrontation. Priest criticized his former partner for holding him back from championship opportunities and attacked Fraxiom after they confronted him about his behavior. R-Truth then attacked Priest, with officials forced to separate the two.
To recap, here’s your lineup for next week’s episode of WWE SmackDown so far:
- Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton meet face-to-face with an order of no-contact between them
- Paige vs Nikki Bella
- Damian Priest vs R-Truth
