The Buffalo Bills (4-1) and Los Angeles Rams (2-3) capped Week 5 with a “Monday Night Football” instant classic.
Below, we share our instant reaction to a thrilling 37-34 Bills win.
Key takeaway: Josh Allen gets first career OT win
For the first time in his nine-year NFL career, Allen was on the right side of an overtime result.
“It feels good being on this side,” Allen told ESPN’s Laura Rutledge afterward. This one probably felt particularly good considering Buffalo overcame a sloppy performance that included a whopping 13 penalties for 112 yards and losing the turnover battle, 2-0.
With the win, the 2024 MVP improved to 1-7 in overtime, and he did so with a monster second half, when Allen accounted for 250 of his 331 total yards. For the game, he gained 121 rushing yards, the second-most of his career.
