The Invictus may have met its end in Foundation, but fans can now give the Empire’s legendary warship a permanent place on their shelves. Master Replicas is selling an officially licensed model of the enormous vessel, complete with rotating inner rings and a design that brings one of the show’s most memorable ships into the real world.

Priced at $115, the Foundation: The Invictus model measures eight inches (200 mm) across. It is available through Master Replicas’ official store, so you’d want to grab it before it runs out of stock. The model also comes in premium packaging with a magnetic flap. The most interesting feature is that the model’s two inner rings can spin freely. Collectors can adjust their positions instead of leaving the ship in a single fixed arrangement. It is a small detail, but one that gives the replica more character than a static display piece.

If you aren’t the collector kind but are a fan of the franchise anyway, you can look forward to Foundation: Galactic Frontier, a sci-fi strategy RPG based on the Foundation universe. However, whether the legendary Invictus will appear in the game remains unknown at this point.

A Warship With A Long History

A bit of history for those who aren’t aware: In Foundation, the Invictus was once among the Empire’s most powerful warships. The vessel measured an astonishing eight kilometers across and carried a crew of 300,000. Equipped with a jump drive and heavy weaponry, it represented the scale of Imperial military power.

Things went wrong when its jump drive malfunctioned, leaving the ship jumping from place to place for more than a thousand years. The Anacreons eventually discovered it and forced a group from the Foundation, including Salvor Hardin and Hugo Crast, to help salvage the vessel.

The ship later became important to the Foundation’s efforts to challenge the Empire. Its technology helped the group develop whisper ships, giving the Invictus a role beyond its original purpose as a weapon of war. Its story ultimately ends during the Empire’s attack on the Foundation near Terminus.

The ship also received a memorable introduction in the television series’ first season. Apple TV’s official episode listing for “Mysteries and Martyrs,” which premiered on October 29, 2021, describes the Anacreons and their hostages boarding the legendary warship. That episode helped establish the Invictus as a major part of the conflict unfolding around Terminus.

The Invictus is part of Master Replicas’ wider range of collectibles based on the Apple TV+ series. In July 2025, the company announced a new line of officially licensed Foundation model ships, beginning with the Imperial Jump Ship. That announcement coincided with the launch of the show’s third season, the finale.

The Imperial Jump Ship and the Invictus offer fans different ways to bring the series’ spacecraft into their collections. While the former represents the Empire’s faster-than-light travel, the latter carries a much longer history, having survived centuries of abandonment before becoming central to the struggle between the Empire and the Foundation.

At $115, the Invictus is not an inexpensive impulse purchase. However, its eight-inch width, movable rings, and connection to a key storyline give collectors specific reasons to consider it. Master Replicas also makes clear that this is a display piece rather than a toy, and it is not suitable for children under 14.

For fans who remember the ship’s arrival in the first season, the replica offers a way to revisit one of Foundation’s most striking spacecraft without needing a working jump drive. The original ship may be gone from the story, but its distinctive design can still take center stage on a collector’s shelf.
